The Tsuzurano Group and Its Heritage
— Building the Future on a 1,500-Year Legacy —
1. The Origins of the Tsuzurano Family – A Strong Foundation
Its origins trace back to the Hata clan, known for their advanced knowledge and technical expertise. After migrating to Japan via the Korean Peninsula during the 4th and 5th centuries, they played an important role in shaping early Japanese society, culture, and infrastructure.
Their contributions spanned a wide range of fields, including water management, civil engineering, textiles, sake brewing, sericulture, religion, and trade.
They were a highly versatile and skilled group whose influence extended across infrastructure, technology, culture, and economic development.
Rather than seeking military power, their legacy was built on quietly supporting society by laying the foundations for people’s daily lives and communities.
2. A Spirit Passed Down Through Generations
As times changed, part of the Tsuzurano family relocated to Terashi in Aira City, Kagoshima, where their legacy continues to remain in local place names and traditions, such as “Tsuzurano Gate” and other regional cultural references.
Their respect for the land and commitment to living in harmony with the local community have remained unchanged throughout generations.
As quiet contributors, they helped support the foundations of local society, and their influence can still be felt in the region today.
Though rarely expressed in grand terms, this spirit has been passed down through generations and continues to shape their values and way of life.
3. The Birth of the Tsuzurano Group
In modern times, the Tsuzurano Group was founded by Yuto Tsuzurano, carrying forward this enduring spirit.
Today, the group operates across a wide range of industries, including agriculture, construction, infrastructure maintenance and repair, welfare, IT, trading, and international business.
Guided by the mission of supporting the foundations of people, communities, and society, the group continues to carry the Tsuzurano family’s legacy into the modern era.
At its core is the philosophy of infrastructure innovation—not the rejection of tradition, but the evolution of inherited culture, values, and technology to meet the needs of contemporary society.
This reflects our commitment to preserving tradition while adapting to the challenges and opportunities of the future.
4. Our Philosophy : A Culture of Mutual Support
Another core value of the Tsuzurano Group is a strong culture of mutual support.
We recognize that our work is made possible through the efforts and support of many people, and that society is sustained by countless contributions that often go unnoticed.
With this understanding, we value gratitude, respect our colleagues, and take pride in working together as one team.
This spirit reflects the values long upheld by the Tsuzurano family—supporting communities with humility, growing together, and contributing quietly behind the scenes.
5. Carrying Tradition Forward
The journey of the Tsuzurano Group is not simply an imitation of the past, nor is it driven solely by obligation or heritage.
Instead, it is a modern expression of a long-held belief: that there is value in supporting others and contributing to society.
We strive to strengthen the foundations of communities, support people’s daily lives, and contribute with humility, without seeking
recognition.
These values are deeply embedded in the way we operate as a company.
6. Shaping the Future with a Timeless Spirit
The legacy of the Tsuzurano family continues through the work and challenges undertaken by the Tsuzurano Group.
While times and technologies may evolve, our commitment to supporting the foundations of communities and society remains unchanged.
Guided by the philosophy of infrastructure innovation, the Tsuzurano Group will continue to support the essential foundations that sustain society.
As we move forward, we carry with us a spirit of mutual support and collaboration, working together to help build a better future.
Although our work may often go unseen, we believe it plays an important role in shaping the future of society.
